FAQ’s
Question: I’ve seen Viton O rings in brown color…Why is this Viton o ring color, green?
Answer: Suppliers can make FKM (VITON) O rings in various different colors as requested by their clients. We requested our supplier to manufacture this one in the color green.
Question: I’ve seen other vendors online selling the same Disa valve O Ring for BMW M44, M52, M54 engines. Are they all the same size?
Answer: No, they are of different sizes. O rings are flexible and users sometimes stretch them for applications that they’re not intended for. This may shorten the life of the O ring as it will be under stress. The M52 Engine Disa O Ring is smaller in diameter and much thicker in the cross section than the one for the M54 engine. The older M44 Engine DISA uses a Thin but larger diameter O ring than the M52 and M54 engine
Question: How hard is it to replace this O ring on the Disa valve?
Answer: There are some good videos on YOUTUBE showing the experiences of others for this job. Most claim it’s not a difficult job and can be done in less than an hour.
